On June 29, 2026, Breanna Claussen (Founder, President, and Editor-in-Chief of Harbinger’s Daily) posted an article that said the following:
- While the world’s attention is fixed on the Iranian regime, another nation with leadership just as wicked and bent on the destruction of Israel is flying largely under the radar of scrutiny.
- Turkey, a member of NATO, has a vast track record of antisemitism—praising the Iranian proxy-led massacre on October 7th, hosting Hamas terrorists, threatening to invade the Jewish State, and even publicly expressing the desire to acquire nuclear weapons.
- Some Military experts have gone so far as to brand the nation “the new Iran,” expressing concerns over Turkish President Erdogan’s thirst for power and radical anti-Israel rhetoric.
- Turkey’s interior minister recently sparked criticism for promising to “liberate” Jerusalem from Israel.
- “Just as in the past, those lands will be ours once again.”
- “Allah willing, they will come under our sovereignty and dominion once more,” he vowed, referring to the control held under the fallen Ottoman Empire, “because we have a global leader like [Turkish President] Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at our helm. A world leader.”
- The danger posed by Turkey is not theoretical to those who hold a Biblical worldview.
- Through the book of Ezekiel, chapters 38-39, we know that when the leadership in Turkey threatens to invade the Jewish State, we should take them at their word.
- The prophet Ezekiel details an alliance already vividly formed in our world today, comprised of Turkey, Iran, Russia, and others.
- God’s Word states that this dark coalition will wage a future attack on the modern state of Israel, attempting an invasion from the north.
Here is a link to Claussen’s entire article:
My opinion: I agree with Claussen. God said it, so it must happen. God said:
- After many days thou [Russia, Iran, Turkey, and many allies] shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them (Ezek. 38:8).
- Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog [the dictator over Russia], and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
- And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:
- And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.
- Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee [troops from Iran, Turkey, and elsewhere]: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.
- Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord God.
- And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
- So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One in Israel.
God said He will do this to reveal Himself to Israel and many non-Jews on earth.
Here are more recent events that seem to suggest that the end of the age has arrived:
One, concerning Turkey’s attitude toward Israel: on July 2, 2026, Turkey’s Foreign Minister said:
- Israel is not only Turkey’s problem, and it is not only President [Recep Tayyip] Erdogan’s problem.
- These people have become a burden that humanity can no longer bear.
- The human conscience cannot bear it, political systems cannot sustain it, and economic systems cannot sustain it either.
More: Two days later, Turkey’s Pres. Erdogan said that the current government of Israel “must not be allowed to spread the smell of gunpowder and blood in our region again.”
(My opinion: This is clearly a call for the destruction of Israel. Turkey will be part of an effort to do it, but it is impossible because God said He will not let it happen.)
More: In response to Turkey’s attitude toward Israel, on June 5, 2026, an Israeli official said Israel is a blessing to the world and is here to stay.
More: On July 7, 2026, Israel’s Prime Min. Netanyahu said, “They (the Turks) openly say that they want to restore the Ottoman Empire. The Ottoman Empire not only included Turkey; it included many other countries; it included Syria, it included pieces of Jordan, it included all of present-day Israel, and included some Gulf countries.” The radical Turkish regime is not a force for peace and stability but admittedly smiles to America when it is necessary, or smiles to the president of the United States when is necessary. When you give him (Erdogan) power, you’re going to see aggression in its wake—I wouldn’t do that.
Two, concerning an increase in wars and rumors of wars at the end of the age: on July 6, 2026, it was reported that the Center for Strategic and International Studies states that Russian casualties have reached approximately 1.4 million, including around 400,000 to 450,000 deaths, while Ukrainian casualties are between 525,000 and 625,000, with 125,000 to 150,000 deaths.
Three, concerning Iran’s threatened retribution toward the U.S. and Pres. Trump: on July 6, 2026, a reader sent me this report that was attributed to Amir Tsarfati:
